Gustavo and John-e’s new bi-monthly residency at Porto’s hottest club, Gare, begins this Saturday the 6th of February. They will be bringing their explosive sonic cocktail to the most notorious DJ booth in northern Portugal every two months along with a whole host of surprises, including special guests handpicked by the guys. For their debut they will be joined by the latest addition to the Madame roster, Twofold. Gare is one of Portugal’s most renowned nightspots and has been visited by a wealth of international luminaries including 2manydjs, Tiga, Extrawelt, Gui Boratto, James Holden, Nathan Fake, Paul Kalkbrenner, Magda, Ivan Smagghe, Gaiser, Paul Ritch, Richard Dorfmeister and many more. Stereo Addiction’s latest video “Human” is about to go into rotation, this upcoming weekend on MTV Portugal. The video was directed by Luís Alegre, produced by Madame and Buenos Aires, starring a select group of friends, fans and family and it represents yet another step on Stereo Addiction’s path to world domination. Os Macacos do Chinês, uma das bandas portuguesas mais interessantes e talentosas dos últimos anos, pediram a Stereo Addiction uma remistura ao seu último single “Saudade“. O resultado é uma fusão do tech house mais groovy dos Stereo Addiction com o som ecléctico e urbano dos MDC. A faixa está disponível para download na compra da revista Timeout desta semana (siga as instruções na página 55 para fazer o download). Segundo os Stereo Addiction “Não há muitos portugueses a tentarem um approach mais “tech” ao hip hop ou dubstep nacional, esta é a nossa interpretação da fusão de dois estilos tão diferentes. O nosso objectivo foi tentar quebrar um bocado o preconceito do “happy house” que tem tido mais destaque nas pistas de dança ao longo deste ano”.

Legendary Oporto night club Gare, has invited Stereo Addiction to join their team of resident DJs that includes such luminaries as Sonic Culture label boss Expander, Freshkitos, and Dixon. The bi-monthly residency will begin in February of 2010. The club has been active since April of 2008 and in the short time it has been open, a whole host of international dance music talent has graced it’s DJ booth, including such names as 2manydjs, Tiga, Extrawelt, Gui Boratto, James Holden, Nathan Fake, Paul Kalkbrenner, Magda, Ivan Smagghe, Gaiser, Paul Ritch, Richard Dorfmeister and many more. The boys look forward to rocking the dancefloor at Gare on a bi-monthly basis and you can expect their usual dance floor destroying antics plus a few suprises along the way.
The word of Stereo Addiction’s dancefloor destroying skills continues to spread far and wide. They’ve left their mark on a numerous amount of dj booths around the world; from London to Tokyo to São Paulo, among others. The island of Madeira will be hit by a week of parties, street art and sporting events promoted by Red Bull. From the 20th to the 27th of December the international brand name will go all out, bringing the best in national and international talent to the island… and Stereo Addiction will be there to help round out the week with a set of the funkiest tech house and techno this side of Lisbon. The guys will be joining a whole host of portuguese talent this upcoming Friday the 27th of November at Molhe in Funchal. The bill includes such names as DJ Ride, Glue, X-Acto and the legendary Tó Ricciardi. If you are in Madeira tommorow be sure to make it down to Molhe for an evening of fantastic music
Stereo Addiction were the headliners at Lisbon’s first “Baile“, a monthly event that promotes portuguese and international talent and that has been a huge success in London. The party was held at The Loft and Gustavo and John-e once again displayed their uncanny ability to rock any dancefloor, keeping the packed club enthralled with their unique sonic blend of Tech House, Techno and Electro until the early hours of the morning. For those of you that didn’t manage to make it there, you can now download their full set
