The 4th of June, has been chosen as the date for one of the most long-awaited events of 2010 in Portugal. The supergroup known as Moderat, formed by Modeselektor (Gernot Bronsert & Sebastian Szary) and Apparat (Sascha Ring), is finally coming to Lisbon. The trio got together in 2002 to produce an EP for Ellen Allien’s record label BPitch Contol. After 6 years apart the group entered the studio, and after a year’s had work they unleashed their debut album on the world. Moderat then took to the road where they put together a show that includes stunning visuals by Pfadfinderei. Their mind-blowing live act saw them win Resident Advisor’s “Best Live Act” of 2009 award, beating stiff competition from Laurent Garnier, Booka Shade, Fever Ray and Mathew Jonson. Friday the 4th of June will see the trio perform for the first time in Portugal and they are sure to live up to expectations.
Joining Moderat on the evening will be 4 of Portugal’s most exciting DJs, including Stereo Addiction, Soniculture label founder Expander, Manu and a live act from DJ Ride/Beatbombers. Rounding out the event will be a DJ set from belgian techno whiz Peter Van Hoesen . For more info click here
