Stereo Addiction de Norte a Sul!

The boys are back in business! As próximas semanas vão ser bem cansativas para a maior dupla do underground português. Vão percorrer o país de norte a sul a espalhar a boa nova das batidas e emoções fortes como só eles sabem. A começar já este fim de semana, John-E e Gustavo vão fechar o mês de Julho em grande com uma data no novo clube mais mediático do algarve, o Meo Spot Summer Sessions. No domingo, dia 31 de Julho, os Stereo Addiction sobem à cabine na praia de portimão numa DJ Battle contra os seus amigos do invicta, os Freshkitos no que promete ser uma noite genuinamente imperdível. Daí seguem para o festival Sudoeste onde vão partilhar o palco com um dos maiores nomes da história de música electrónica, Richie Hawtin no domingo, dia 7 de Agosto. Na sexta-feira dia 12, vão estar na discoteca Green Hill na Foz do Arelho com as Heartbreakerz e no sábado, dia 20 de Agosto vão estar nos Açores para o festival Maré de Agosto. Por isso, por onde quer que estejas durante as próximas semanas, os Stereo Addiction vêm ter contigo!

Stereo Addiction pela 5ª vez no Festival Sudoeste e com…

Após um ano de ausência, Gustavo e John-E regressam ao maior festival de verão que acontece em Portugal - O Sudoeste. O público pediu e a organização cumpriu. A dupla está de volta e irá actuar pela 5ª vez, e este ano, ao lado de um monstro da música electrónica, no que será, mais uma actuação marcante na carreira dos Stereo Addiction.

Em Setembro passado a dupla actuou ao lado do seu irmão (Matthew) numa das edições do Baile em Lisboa, agora chega a vez de pisarem o palco ao lado do fundador das editoras Plus8 e M_nus: Richie Hawtin. Nome incontornável no mundo da música de pista. Com 18 anos de carreira está intrinsecamente ligado ao techno a todos os níveis - produziu alguns dos temas mais simbólicos do género, foi impulsionador do movimento minimalista com a sua editora M_nus, ajudou a desenvolver o Beatport e, procura sempre as mais recentes inovações tecnológicas para incorporar nas suas actuações como DJ. Richie Hawtin é o nome que todos querem ver e ouvir, exigido muitas vezes pelos fãs em vários fóruns e blogs de musica.

Hawtin vai ser cabeça de cartaz no palco electrónico do Sudoeste 2011 e a responsabilidade de o acompanhar só podia mesmo recair sobre a maior dupla de DJs de Portugal.

After an absence from last year’s lineup, Gustavo and John-E will be returning to Portugal’s biggest summer music festival - Sudoeste. The festival’s massive audience were adamant that the duo return, so the organizers gladly invited them back. Stereo Addiction will be performing at Sudoeste for the 5th time. The ante has been raised considerably this time as they will be performing alongside one of the biggest names in dance music history, in what will surely be yet another landmark gig in their burgeoning career.

In September of last year, they played with his younger brother Matthew at a Lisbon edition of “O Baile“, now they will be sharing the decks with the founder of the legendary M_nus and Plus8 record labels: Richie Hawtin. A name usually uttered in fervent, hushed tones, the techno mastermind is inextricably linked to the genre’s existence and continued evolution and success - He was responsible for some of techno’s most revered tunes (such as “Spastik“), he spearheaded the minimal revolution with M_nus, he helped develop Beatport, and is constantly searching for new technology to incorporate into his highly innovative and influential DJ sets. Richie Hawtin is a name that has long been at the top of the Portuguese crowd’s wishlist, and has been discussed and in demand on blogs and forums for many years.

Hawtin will headline the electronic stage at Sudoeste 2011 and it falls to Portugal’s biggest DJ duo to keep up with the maverick techno mastermind. A task that they they are totally up to fulfilling, come August the 7th.

Stereo Addiction strike back in London

Stereo Addiction are returning to the city that saw them take their first steps as DJs. Gustavo and John-E were invited to headline the Shoreditch Digital Festival closing party at Hoxton Bar on friday the 6th of May, bookending a a week of exhibitions, parties, workshops, showcases, networking, presentations, open studios and augmented reality games, celebrating outstanding creativity in the heart of the UK’s digital hub.

For anyone whose in London that weekend, this is a chance to catch the duo’s return to europe’s music capital.

Stereo Addiction nos 100 anos da Universidade de Lisboa

A Universidade de Lisboa comemora 100 anos e para celebrar, no dia do estudante, já esta quinta-feira dia 24 de Março, os Stereo Addiction foram convidados para cabeças de cartaz da F.EST.ULIS2011 nos foyers da Aula Magna. A juntarem-se a Gustavo e John-E, no que será certamente uma festa de arromba, vão estar Kaesar, Neurofitness e Frank De Lucca & Da Costa. As hostilidades vão durar entre as 23:00 e as 05:00 e, apesar de ser o centenário da Universidade de Lisboa, os verdadeiros presenteados vão ser os estudantes, com entrada livre no recinto. Com um cartaz de qualidade inegável, um local fantástico e entrada livre, o que esperam para começar já a fazer fila à porta da Aula Magna?

Stereo Addiction storm festival stages this August

After their earthshaking and highly memorable participation at Serbia’s Exit Festival, Gustavo and John-E will be playing at Portugal’s biggest dance music festivals this August. First they will take to the stage at the Neopop festival in Viana Do Castelo on Thursday the 12th of August alongside 2000 and One, Vitalic and Ellen Allien. The dynamic duo will then head of to Idanha-a-Nova on the 25th of August for the world renowned Boom Festival where they will unleash their trademark sonic assault alongside such artists as A Guy Called Gerald, SQL, Minilogue and many others. August is shaping up to be a very memorable month for Stereo Addiction.

Stereo Addiction destroy the Exit Festival with brand new live act

John-E & Gustavo were invited to storm the Suba Stage at the Exit Festival in Novi Sad in Serbia on Saturday the 10th of July. The dynamic duo prepared a very special live act for their performance which was a huge hit with the crowd and is a million miles away from what you may expect from a convential techno/house DJ set. Stereo Addiction hit Exit Festival 2010

Stereo Addiction have been invited to join the lineup, which includes such international superstars as Royksopp, LCD Soundsystem, The Chemical Brothers, Ricardo Villalobos, Josh Wink and Moderat, at this years Exit Festival which will go down in the city of Novi Sad in Serbia. On Saturday the 10th of July, a group of portuguese artists will take Madame and Lumin’s “O Baile” concept to one of the many stages at the Exit Festival. Gustavo and John-E will be joining Rui Da Silva, :Papercutz and DJ Ride in bringing the best in portuguese underground music to an international audience. Stereo Addiction at Gare this weekend!

Gustavo and John-e’s new bi-monthly residency at Porto’s hottest club, Gare, begins this Saturday the 6th of February. They will be bringing their explosive sonic cocktail to the most notorious DJ booth in northern Portugal every two months along with a whole host of surprises, including special guests handpicked by the guys. For their debut they will be joined by the latest addition to the Madame roster, Twofold. Stereo Addiction on SIC K

Gustavo and John-e have been interviewed for an upcoming television show called Factor K on new Portuguese channel SIC K. The show focuses on their day-to-day life as DJs and producers and will show footage of the guys in the studio and behind the decks at one of their massive club shows.
